Official Guinness World Record attempted at 6 venues VIT-Chennai, JIT- Chennai, Kingston - Vellore, PMIST-Thanjavur, MLRIT-Hyderabad and PCET-Coimbatore. 13,562 school students participated and launched paper planes with in 5 seconds after 11:00am on 24th Feb 2018. The event was organised towards the campaign of "Support Aero and Space Modelling" in association with IAAA, ISSE-ISRO and Raven Aerial Technologies.

DSCET, Mahabalipuram organised "International Conference on Aeronautics Astronautics and Aviation (ICAAA)" in association with IAAA, Malaysian Aeronautical Society and University of Putra, Malaysia on 22nd and 23rd March 2018. Honorable Vice President.T.K.Sundaramurthy presided the conference.

Industry Interaction Seminar Series was inaugurated at SRM Institute of Technology and Science on 17th March 2018. Mr.Karthik, Technical Manager from ARK Info Solutions presented his lecture along with Honorary Secretary General.C.S.Karunakaran. HOD Dr.Vasudevan greeted the speakers.
