The International Astronomy Contest gives you an opportunity to groom your knowledge in Astronomy and gives you a platform for your career dream in astronomy. Institute of Aeronautics Astronautics and Aviation (IAAA) organises International Astronomy Contest 2021 in association with School Education Department of Government of Tamil Nadu , Space Generation Advisory Council of Cameroon and Indo Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries being as the Training Partner. Office For Astronomy Outreach of International Astronomical Union being the Dissemination Partner. Jury panel consist of Astronomy Club of Cameroon.
The contest is conducted under 2 age categories 1) between 12-18 year old and 2) between 18-24 year old. The top 10 winners will be sponsored to attend Future Astronauts Training Camp at Russia after New-Normal. Top 100 participants will be honoured. The contest provides 7 certified online courses, 5 certified webinars, satellite architecture workshop and project contest. All participants will get certification benefits worth USD500 if completed the contest successfully.
The contest provides 7 certified online courses on astronomy, in which each participant should complete a minimum of 5 courses to clear Round 1 (Slingshot). Participants who have cleared Preliminary Round will attend 5 certified webinars. Successful participants who clears Webinar Quiz will clear Round 2 (Gravity). After Quiz the successful candidates will be trained on Satellite Architecture as part of Round 3 (Inertial). The filtered participants will be competing for a surprise task to win the Grand Finale Round 4 (The Lift Off).
raining worth USD3000 will be provided to top 5 winners and training worth USD2000 will be provided to top 6-10 winners. Contest course toppers stand chance to win one USD700 cash award and three USD100 cash award.
